A group calling itself the "Honey Badger Brigade" was kicked out of the Calgary Comic Expo over the weekend. The group had purchased a booth at the event, but people quickly reacted because their banner displayed the logo of "#gamergate," a movement associated with harassment against women online.

According to reports, rumours swirled that female members of the HBB planned to disrupt a scheduled women-in-comics discussion panel

Police were called to the scene, the HBB's booth was dismantled and the group was told they were expelled from future Comic Expo events. Calgary Comic Expo took to Twitter to apologize to attendees and note that the HBB had applied for their booth under false pretense.

Below, a video from one of the Honey Badger Brigade organizers, who has been banned from future Calgary Comic Expo events.
