Earth Day, 4/20 and more top Vancouver events: April 18-25th, 2013

This week in Vancouver is packed with amazing events. On Saturday, you can join the Uberdrop demo on Commercial Drive, go to Kits Beach to help with clean up the beach, then drop by Regional Recycling with your recyclables from your household Spring Cleaning to enter a chance to win a bike while enjoy organic  BBQ.  Our Jolli Bee, Sheryl Nagao was busy last weekend at the Nifty Fifty Sale, and we'll be out there at Vancouver's first Comicon Expo this weekend to bring you the latest on comic book legend Stan Lee.

TOP PICKS

Make It Vancouver (Kelly’s Pick) - Craft Fair

April 19-21 | Varies by day | Croatian Cultural Centre | $5

This ain’t your Grandma’s craft fair.

Over 140 Canadian indie crafters + designers in one room combined with live music, delicious food, wobbly pops, nice friendly folks and an awesome vibe. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a potentially rainy afternoon. Trust me, there’s something for everyone at Make It Vancouver; I’d be surprised if you left empty-handed.

Kits Beach Clean Up 2013 (Miraj’s pick) - Community/Conservation

April 20 |11 AM - 2 PM | Kits beach | Free/By donation

What are you doing this Earth Day weekend? Join Surfrider Vancouver and SPEC Land and Water for a beach cleanup and celebration at Kits Beach! Back for another year, the beach cleanup is a follow up from last year when over 400 pounds of garbage was collected.

The cleanup crew will meet in front of The Boathouse at 10:30am. Join the crew and help keep our waters and beaches clean while you enter the Passport Challenge to win prizes! Afterwards there would be a post cleanup celebration at 2pm. Thanks Matt!
