Everytime I read one of these articles, I either feel like crying or I actually do. This has been evident since at least the 70's. When I was rallying and trying to sound the alarm along with all the other "environmentalist wackos" back in the early 80's, most people laughed and called us crazy. We are too self-absorbed to recognize the importance of the ecosystem or the right for other organisms to exist.

Edit: cynical bitterness there. Perhaps it isn't so much evil self-absorption, as it is evil ignorance?

No one gives a shit about global warming anymore. That is so 2005.  Can't wait to see what the future of this world is. I'm starting to wonder if I should even bring kids into this world

On the minus side, that means we're probably screwed. On the plus side, we get to see what kind of stuff was under all the ice in the short time we have left to live.
