Canucks fans 'deflated' after second loss, but still hopeful for the Stanley Cup

Vancouver Canucks fans are dealing with a second, decisive loss in the Stanley Cup final after watching a 2-0 series lead wiped out.
The Bruins defeated the Canucks 4-0 in Game 4 in Boston, leaving the series tied at 2-2.
In Vancouver, tens of thousands of fans were in the downtown core again to watch the game on large outdoor screens, on TVs in the area's many bars and inside Rogers Arena.
Dejected fans were more quiet than usual during the game, saving their infrequent cheers for several fights during the third period and when goaltender Roberto Roberto Luongo was removed from net.
When the game was over, some fans meandered towards Granville Street, which has been the site of impromptu street parties after Canucks victories, but after the loss it looked more like a funeral procession.
Sheri Radford, who watched the game at Rogers Arena, says she feels deflated after two brutal losses in a row, but she insists - as most fans do - that the Canucks can still win the Cup.
More from Vancouver Observer editors:
Anger at the Canucks' second defeat rippled through Vancouver last night. Watching the game with friends in Kitsilano, VO's publisher reports a sixteen year old boy smashed his hand into the wall and roared at the top of his lungs in anger, as he realized the tickets he'd scored for the home game might not be the euphoric celebration he'd hoped for. This young hockey player took it personally, storming out of the house when the Bruins scored their second goal and returning to agonize over the humiliating remainder of the game.
The police reported that 25,000 people were on the streets watching the game and that there were no incidents. "This isn't going to be a repeat of 1994," a bystander said. He shook his head. "No riots."
Then he added, "It isn't over yet. There's no place like home."
