Mix a handful of Marley, a teaspoon full of Matisyahu, a sprig of Toots and the Maytals, with some essence of Kenny G, and you'll find yourself with the perfect recipe to smooth listening, easy groovin' reggae music.
This is the recipe to Rebelution, a roots reggae music band hailing from Santa Barbara, California.
They played the Commodore Ballroom Sunday evening. Although, the concert did not sell out, the room was filled with happy, go-lucky, Mary Jane lovin' fans whose love for reggae was clearly expressed through non-stop dancing and smoking.
Two things synonymous with reggae. Unfortunately, this was their last leg of their Canadian tour and they are back in home state of Cali continuing their North American tour.
Don't fret though, the band plays 100 - 120 shows a year and with summer just around the corner, you'll probably find them performing at many world-renowned music festivals.
