Canadian government matching Oxfam donations to East Africa until Friday

Canada has one last chance to double their imact to help famine victims in East Africa. The Canadian government is offering to match any donation to Oxfam until Friday, September 16. 

International Co-operation Minister Bev Oda and representatives from the Humanitarian Coalition appealed to Canadians for donations at a news conference on Parliament Hill. They said over 13 million people are being affected by the ongoing drought and famine in the Horn of Africa. 

Robert Fox, executive director of Oxfam Canada, urged Canadians to donate before Friday to maximize the impact of humanitarian efforts on the ground in Africa. To make your donation, click here.
