Man dies after downtown stabbing

One man has died and two men are in custody following a stabbing in downtown Vancouver, according to police reports.

Shortly after 11:00 last night, police and paramedics responded to Granville and West Georgia after receiving reports of a fight and a man that had been stabbed.

They found an unconscious man on the sidewalk who had suffered a life-threatening stab wound. He was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery. 

Acting on tips from witnesses, police arrested two men believed to have been involved in the incident.

Around 2:00 this morning, the 28 year-old victim died in hospital as a result of his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
