After 11 years of bringing you local reporting, the team behind the Vancouver Observer has moved on to Canada's National Observer. You can follow Vancouver culture reporting over there from now on. Thank you for all your support over the years!

Back great journalism as a monthly donor and join us for a VO Members Party. Let's celebrate!

The Vancouver Observer has had an exciting and successful  year.  We launched the Tar Sands Reporting Project, expanded our local news coverage, and won the CJF Excellence in Journalism Award for the second time. We’ve gone national, as well, with Janice Dickinson and Matt Millar reporting from Parliament.   Now, we're on the brink of launching a new national site with a focus on energy politics, "The National Observer."

It's all about great story-telling and powerful journalism that conveys important information about the lives of real people. So, please back the Vancouver Observer with your monthly contribution so we can afford to do more great reporting on the tar sands, pipelines, LNG, Harper's record, and other important issues that affect all of our lives.

New monthly supporters will be added to the guest list for our Members Party on November 25. We'd love to meet you, so sign up within the week.

If you're not in the Vancouver area, please support us anyway and celebrate a great year with us in spirit.
