"@ddlovato is #1 on iTunes...she totally deserves it :) Congrats Demi!" wrote song writer18 on Twitter.
When Congrats Demi became a top trend on Twitter today, VO was curious as to which Demi and congrats for what? A click on the #hashtag, and it was clear.
After withdrawing from the public scene, the 18-year-old Demi Lovato has returned with a smash hit, taking the number one spot on iTunes on the first day of releasing her emotional new single: Skyscraper.
Lovatics couldn't be more proud:
"Congrats Demi you have come sooo far this year! and im so proud to call myself a #LOVATIC <3 #skyscraper is such an inspirational song! commented Emily2260 on Twitter.
"Congrats Demi! *throws stones at whoever doesn't like skyscraper*," wrote _FranFenty.
"I'm sooo proud of her, she really deserves this. Congrats Demi! #Lovatic ♥," said DABiebsLovato.
Soon, "Skyscraper" became a trending topic on the micro-blogging site.
When the star quit the Disney show "Sonny With a Chance" and entered an in-patient treatment for bipolar and eating disorders, rumours were tossed back and forth.
"It got to the point where I was lying to everyone, lying about eating and being happy...I became a little brat and I had so much growing up to do, and I never intentionally meant to be that way, but I just had so much going on in my head," said Lovato to Ryan Secreast on KIIS-FM this morning.
“I just sat there and I just cried my eyes out…doubled over in emotion, it was crazy."
But, according to Direct Lyrics, now she's all smiles. Yesterday, Lovato was spotted leaving a Los Angeles restaurant with friend Brittany Snow.
Levato "was looking cute and trendy chic," prints Lyrics.
