Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria brings authentic Italian pizza to Vancouver

Famoso sets itself apart with not only an open-concept kitchen and a unique service style but it serves up the freshest, tastiest authentic Neapolitan pizza you've ever tasted.

Once you try Famoso’s Neapolitan pizzas, fast food pizza will never taste the same again. Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria, located in Vancouver’s own little Italy on commercial, serves up authentic Neapolitan pizzas using fresh fior-di-latte mozzarella, Italian tomatoes imported from the Campania region, and most importantly, Caputo flour.

Famoso's Italian Spritz, a blend of Aperol, Prosecco and Italian soda, and a slab of feta cheese sprinkled with chili on a bed of flavourful kalamata olives.

Famoso’s crust is unlike any other crust I’ve tried in North America. The Caputo flour used creates a chewy, but thin, crunchy crust. For their authentic Neapolitan pizzas, Famoso creates a simple tomato sauce allowing the fresh Italian flavours to shine through. Unlike typical pizzas, Famoso uses fresh mozzarella cheese, allowing for that stringy, soft and chewy texture as you bite into the pizza.

Owner Justin Lussier talks up Famoso and his staff.

In their open-concept kitchen, guests can watch as their pizzas are tossed in the air, loaded with fresh ingredients and baked in Famoso’s 900-degree pizza oven.

Owner Justin Lussier boasts a casual atmosphere at Famoso and has implemented unique and convenient service. Instead of having servers take your order, guests can jot down their orders on a notepad provided and take it up t the counter. The food is then brought to the table and guests can either start a tab or pay at the cashier.

Whether it's a nice sit-down lunch or a quick bite to eat, Famoso can cater to everyone's needs.

With a mixture of booths, tables and benches and modern, yet rustic decor, Famoso is a great place to bring family, friends or even a date.

Famoso is open late so instead of grabbing a slice of that soggy, salty lamp-heated pizza, drop by Famoso’s for their famous Margherita pizza or a piece of authentic Italian tiramisu imported straight from Italy.

Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria is located on 1380 Commercial Drive.
