Vidya Kauri

Vidya Kauri is a Toronto-based journalist who has covered crime, politics, business and the environment for more than five years. Her work has been published in leading national and foreign publications including the Globe and Mail, National Post, Maclean's magazine, Al Jazeera English and the United Church Observer.

She won multiple awards for her relentless digging and fierce storytelling on a spate of sexual assaults in Toronto in 2012. Vidya loves practicing Aikido, a Japanese martial art, for its mental and physical challenges. She also relishes live theatre and is currently attempting her third novel.
