Louisa Russell has been a front-line worker with Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter for eighteen years. She has presented before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) commissioners, the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Women and the Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) and at the Organization of American States (OAS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina on improving justice responses to women escaping male violence.
