Insiya Rasiwala-Finn is a writer and yoga instructor who has called Vancouver home since the last six years. She grew up in Bombay, India and has lived and worked in Europe, Asia and North America.
She left the world of corporate advertising in the US to work in the wellness industry and helped define the marketing and PR for lululemon athletica during its years of high growth. She is currently focused on growing the Vancouver yoga community via the website vancouveryoga.com, organizing the annual Yogathon and Blissfest for Camp Moomba (one of the largest yoga fundraisers in the world) teaching yoga and freelance writing.
She has written for the Georgia Straight, Vancouver Magazine, the Westender, Shared Vision and Asia Spa Magazine, primarily on health, sustainability and travel. She is currently enrolled in The Writer's Studio, a creative writing programme offered at Simon Fraser University where she is learning to write poetry.
