"Vancouver Loves the Waldorf" group launches in support of Team Waldorf

Vancouver's Waldorf Hotel is the heartbeat of our city. More than just a piece of built heritage, it is a unique cultural institution whose contribution to arts and entertainment in Vancouver is unprecedented and broad.
We are a group of Vancouverites who know that this venue, run by this team, can never be replaced.
The Waldorf was recently restored at the cost of $1 million by its current tenants, who made it wonderful. There is only one social license to operate this venue, and it belongs to them.
Vancouver loves Team Waldorf. We are their grateful city, and today we express our united commitment to Save the Waldorf exactly as it is.
Vancouver has lost far too much culture and heritage to condo development already. We will not give an inch in our fight to save our Waldorf.
See the group's Facebook page for details.
