Vaisakhi 2011 slideshow: Surrey celebrates the birth of Sikhism

Today, I joined an estimated 150,000 members of the public in the celebration of Vaisakhi in Surrey, B.C. Vaisakhi is a traditional harvest festival celebrated by Sikhs worldwide. It also marks the birth of our religious community, known as khalsa. The event featured a parade, free food and dancing.

Victoria Pride Parade 2016

The Victoria Pride Parade was held on July 10, 2016, moving from Government Street to MacDonald Park. Over 100 groups and floats--including local businesses and non-profits--helped celebrate the day.
