Vancouver riot YouTube parodies: video

See video

Vancouver riots are now the subject of a number of parody videos on YouTube. Particularly popular in China is Next Media Animation, a Taiwanese animation team owned by Hong Kong media group tabloid The Apple Daily, who are famous for their animated accounts of world headlines. They've turned their animating talents on Vancouver. Watch it and laugh. Or cry. Depending on your mood today.

Next there's a video posted by blastradiuscomedy on Youtube (below).  Watch this and defintely cry.

Note from Linda: For the last few days, Alcohol, by Barenaked Ladies, has been playing over and over in my head.  Barenaked wrote it years ago and it's not about Vancouver's riots, of course, but, why won't it get out of my head?  Oh yeah, I guess it's because a lot of people weren't "feeling like themselves" when they began destroying things last Wednesday.

Alcohol, my permanent accessory
Alcohol, a party-time necessity
Alcohol, alternative to feeling like yourself
O Alcohol, I still drink to your health
....
Would you please forgive me (x2)
