Lions Gate Suicide Attempt Stopped Traffic

Traffic on the Lions Gate bridge into West Vancouver was backed up this afternoon as police stop an attempted suicide. VO's Linda Solomon provides updates from the gridlock.

5:47 PM - Something going on bigtime on lions gate bridge traffic stopped both ways completely. Think it's a suicide attempt

5:48 PM - Police rush onto bridge traffic parked for ten minutes now

6:01 PM - Lots of questions here in the gridlock as police helicopters amass and  motorcycle cops is there a terrorist attack or threat a suicide attempt?

6:05 PM - It's a distraught person and the police are trying to talk them out of jumping

Reports indicate that the bridge has since reopened to traffic.
