Madonna to perform at Super Bowl with Cirque du Soleil

Madonna will team up with Canada's Cirque du Soleil team for the 2012 Super Bowl game. In addition to Cirque, another Montreal-based company, the Moment Factory, will be working with the eternal Material Girl to make for some cool Canadian content at the event.

She'll be working with Jamie King, who recently directed the Cirque’s Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour will be part of the team for this gig, her first Super Bowl appearance. Read all about in Rolling StoneThe Daily Mail, or the New York Times.

Quebec and Madonna go way back: when she came to Quebec in 1987 for the "Who's That Girl Tour", she revealed that her mother was French-American. Since then, her ancestors have been traced back to Quebec, so it's  that she'll be working with famous Quebec companies for this concert. 

The 2012 Super Bowl will take place on Feb. 5, 2012 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show is the most-watched musical event of the year, with more than 162 million in the U.S. tuning in to see The Black Eyed Peas' performance at halftime last February.
