After 11 years of bringing you local reporting, the team behind the Vancouver Observer has moved on to Canada's National Observer. You can follow Vancouver culture reporting over there from now on. Thank you for all your support over the years!

Welcome to the New Vancouver Observer

Here it is, at last, and I'm so proud of our redesigned site with its drupal powered sofware. Surf our seven beautiful sections, find commentary, reviews, and news. Get to know people and places in Vancouver from a new point of view.

Dave Egan developed the site and guided the project.  Lorea Sinclar did the design.  Meghan Strain transfered more than a thousand articles from the old site to the new.  This has been a huge learning curve for me and, honestly, one of the most exciting and fulfilling projects I've been involved with to date.

Meanwhile, through the transition, talented writers and contributors, old and new, have continued to post engaging and important stories about what's happening in our city.

We've created a big platform and we invite you to use it.

If you have something to say, say it on The Vancouver Observer.
