One man injured after downtown shooting on Granville Street

Police are investigating a downtown shooting that has sent one man to hospital with undetermined injuries, according to a news release.

Shortly before 7:00 this morning, police responded to a call of a fight in the area of Granville and Smithe Street. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered that one man had been shot.

The man was rushed to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Investigators from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section and the Forensic Identification Unit will be at the scene this morning. Drivers may experience traffic delays. Buses may be also affected due to the incident.
