Man robbed and pepper sprayed at Oakridge Centre

One man is recovering at home after being robbed and pepper sprayed at Oakridge Mall.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. this afternoon the victim and suspect met in the food court area of the mall regarding an item he listed for sale on-line. During that meeting, the suspect pepper sprayed the 27 year old Vancouver resident and stole the item from him.

Two other people seated near by were also exposed to the pepper spray. The victim and the two others were treated by paramedics at the scene and released.

There is no one in custody at this time and police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
