Man taunting police from third-floor window at Vancouver Art Gallery

Vancouver Police and fire fighters are on the scene at the Vancouver Art Gallery in an attempt to bring a man safely down from a window ledge on the third floor.

According to Constable Jana McGuinness, police negotiators are attempting to make contact with the man, who seems to be very disoriented.Video footage shows him mooning the officers below, climbing around and then relaxing in the window alcove.

The incident began shortly before 7 am this morning. Howe Street remains closed to traffic at West Georgia, and it is unknown how long it will continue.

Take our survey and win a ski weekend at The Westin Whistler and lift tickets for Whistler Blackcomb.
