Pedestrian involved in collision passes away

A 52 year old Vancouver man that was critically injured in a collision at about 3 a.m. on June 26th in the 100 block E. Hastings Street has, sadly, succumbed to his injuries. His name is not being released at the request of the family.

The driver involved in the collision was cooperative with investigators, who are still examining the incident. No charges have been laid.

There have been 12 traffic-related fatalities in 2011 in the City of Vancouver, eight of which have been pedestrians.
