Face of man wanted Canada-wide

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted Canada-wide for breach of parole after he failed to return to his halfway house on June 25th.

Norman Bert Guimond has a history of manslaughter, robbery with a firearm, possession of drugs and aggravated assault. His convictions include his part in a jewellery store robbery that resulted in an employee being shot to death, as well as the stabbing of a police officer when he was confronted in the process of stealing a vehicle.

Guimond is 33 years old, Aboriginal, 5’10” tall, 200 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.  He has “IP” tattooed on his right hand, “G” on his right middle finger and the IP logo on his right forearm (stands for Indian Posse gang). He has scars on his forehead. The only photo of Guimond available is five years old, so his appearance may have changed somewhat.

If you see Guimond, do not approach him - call 9-1-1 immediately.
