Vancouver cops seek methadone thief

Vancouver police are asking for the public's assistance to help identify a suspect following a break-in to a Downtown Eastside pharmacy. A quantity of methadone diluted with juice has been stolen.

Around 5:30 a.m. on April 19, a break-and-enter occurred at Knowlton's Drugs located at 15 East Hastings Street. Six jugs of juice, each containing four milligrams of methadone, were stolen.

The one-litre containers, resembling plastic milk jugs with white labeling, are still missing. If found, police should be contacted immediately.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the person seen in the surveillance image that can be found here, is asked to call investigators at 604-717-9203 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
