Assault on Keefer

Vancouver Police are investigating an assault after two men were injured when a verbal altercation escalated into physical violence overnight.

Around 10:45 p.m. June 12th, two men returning to their home in the Unit block of Keefer Street observed a couple of men urinating near the entrance to their building. A verbal altercation erupted after they asked the men to stop and that's when things turned violent. The residents were allegedly punched repeatedly by the men before they ran off. Police were called and found the two residents suffering from injuries requiring medical attention. One man was taken to hospital while the other was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Witnesses have been  interviewed and investigators are looking into all aspects of the assaults and any comments made by those involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
