Vancouver Brings in a 2010 With Only Minor Police Incidents

 Vancouver Police reported a quiet New Year's overall for police with no incidents of note as of 12:40 a.m., January 1st.

Crowds in the downtown core were in good spirits and many families came out to enjoy the night. Officers were kept busy with calls for service around the city but overall, the atmosphere was positive throughout the evening.

There were two breach arrests and one person was taken to jail for being intoxicated in a public place.  There were several liquor pour-outs as well.
