Stabbing in Kitsilano

A thirty-six-year-old Burnaby man is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after he was stabbed overnight in the 2800 block of W. 4th Avenue. The man called 9-1-1 himself after an unknown assailant demanded his wallet and then slashed him in the neck before running off without obtaining anything.

The victim was assisted by several people who came upon him while he lay bleeding at a nearby bus stop. The area was searched by a VPD canine team, but the suspect was not found. The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, 20-30 years old, 5' 09", 155 lbs, with a thin build. Anyone with information is asked to contact Vancouver Police.
