Pigeon Park Fence Removal Celebration Next Week

It has been many months since Pigeon Park went under the knife. It seems like just yesterday we approved the funding and now it's done. How wild is that.

I work in the neighbourhood so I go by frequently to see how things are going. The crew working at the park has been amazing and the Park Board staff are all very dedicated to getting the park back to DTES residents. Oppenheimer and Pigeon Park both being shut down at the same time has been difficult on the neighbourhood. The new improved Pigeon Park will have a washroom, water fountain and benches made for relaxing. One little tid bit I did not know, is that Pigeon Park is Vancouver's smallest park. But one of Vancouver's most well used.

Please join us when the fences are come down Tuesday December 15th at 12 PM when we plan to celebrate. There will be entertainment, chili and hot chocolate and announcements of upcoming projects.
