Eight things I want under my tree this year

This thing looks like so much fun! Yes, the closest store it's available in is the MAC store at University Village in Seattle, but I really, really want it! So make the trip! From the tune bug website, "The Tunebug Shake is an ultra-portable sound generator that can be connected to iPods, MP3 players or mobile phones or used wirelessly using Bluetooth. When mounted on a bike, skate or snowboard helmet, the Shake creates a surround sound experience."

Fifth up: The Sound of Music (45th Anniversary Edition on Bluray)

 $19.99 At select retailers

$19.99. That's it! Cheap! It's a classic that must be watched again and again- and why not watch it re-mastered. If you caught Oprah's interview with the entire cast this past month, then you know the excitement surrounding this re-release. Get it while it's still on the shelves.

Six: A swanky money clip.

$210.00 at Tiffany and Co. on Burrard Street.

Who doesn't like a little luxury in their pockets? This polished, sterling silver clip has a flawless, smooth texture that I could handle all day. It holds ID, a credit card and a good wad of cash - perfect for an evening out on the town when you don't want the bulk of your wallet causing unsightly lumps in your slim fitting jeans or perfectly tailored suit trousers...

Number Seven on my list: A Gift Certificate from Miraj Hamman

$112.00-$238.00 at Miraj Hamman on West 6th at Granville

Looking for something to really take the stress away? Look no further than Vancouver's only traditional Hamman. Men can go Thursday or Sunday and the hammam steam, gommage and massage is really other worldly. Imagine hot steaming chambers and drinking lemon water followed by laying naked on a golden slab of marble while getting a full body exfoliation with fragrant, black Morrocan soap...and this is all BEFORE your massage. Never mind the silk cushioned lounge where you can hang out afterwards and drink mint tea while eating sweet cakes and date bars. Heaven.

And finally, number Eight: A travel toothbrush sanitizer!

   $29.95 online at Violight.ca

As soon as I saw this thing I wanted it. They say a a single toothbrush can harbor MILLIONS of microorganisms. Enough said? This little puppy, made by Violight will help to keep you healthy while on the road - heck, the peace of mind is enough for me.

So that's it. 8 fun items.

Sure, I could have been predictable and put an iPad, X-Box and Whistler Ski weekend on there, but I wouldn't want to seem greedy. I'm a simple living boy after all.

What about you? What would you like to get under your tree this year??
