Planning for Exit hosts screening of Miss Representation

Planning for Exit, a company that works with CEOs to build their business and increase the profitability of a successful exit, will be hosting a screening of Miss Representation at the Vancouver Scotiabank Theatre on June 6th.

The San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women first screened the documentary Miss Representation in October 2010. Writer, director and producer Jennifer Siebel Newsom specifically targets the media as the source of creating women’s insecurities and negative body image.  The film has a star-studded cast of politicians, celebrities and feminists, including Condoleezza Rice, Katie Couric, Rosario Dawson and Gloria Steinman.

Later this week, Planning for Exit will bring together business leaders, emphasizing for the need of “both men AND women” to get involved with issues that affect “50 per cent of the voices,” said Sandra Wear, Principal of Planning for Exit.

Tickets are $30 and $90 for VIP package with networking cocktail reception. Purchase your ticket today online at: http://sandrawearmissrepresentationgscreening.eventbrite.com/
