Love it or Hate it, the Olympic Torch Arrives in Vancouver Today

Mayor Gregor Robertson will welcome the Olympic Torch when it arrives in Vancouver today, and will be attending a number of Torch Relay events.


Mayor Robertson will be traveling to Torch Relay stops in the Chevrolet Volt, an electric vehicle that will not be available in Canada until mid-2011. The Mayor will be at the following Torch Relay stops on Thursday, Feb. 11:




12:46pm: Collingwood Community Celebration (the first torch relay stop in Vancouver)

Location: Kingsway Avenue and Tyne Street




1:15pm: East 49th and Killarney




2:48pm: Vancouver City Hall Torch Relay celebration

Location: 12th and Cambie




8:00pm: Torch Relay Community Celebration

Location: LiveCity Yaletown, David Lam Park
