Canucks eke past Kings in game 4, series headed back to Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks overcame a 3rd period deficit for the 12th time all season in a 6-4 victory over the LA Kings on Wednesday night.

Christian Ehrhoff (1), Pavol Demitra (1), Mikael Samuelsson (5), Sami Salo (1), Henrik Sedin (1) and Ryan Kesler (1) into an empty net scored for the Canucks who finally got some solid goaltending from Roberto Luongo.  Luongo made some huge 3rd period saves, allowing his team to come back and win the game and tie the series at 2-2.

The Canucks penalty kill struggled early, allowing a powerplay goal on the Kings’ first two attempts. LA’s powerplay finished 2/4 and is now 9/16 in the series.

The series is now headed back to Vancouver for a crucial game 5 on Friday, with game 6 slated for Sunday night in LA. If necessary, game 7 will be played on Tuesday back in Van City.
