Rising Star Clé Bennett joins "Flashpoint" team

Two-time Gemini Award winner Clé Bennett joins the popular Canadian drama “Flashpoint” airing on CTV and CBS Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This season, viewers can lock their sights on Team One’s newest member, young diamond-in-the-rough recruit Rafik “Raf” Rousseau, played by Clé Bennett (The Line, Barney’s Version, Guns,).

Set to make his debut this season in Episode 6, new recruit Raf (Clé Bennett) tells it like it is. Strong yet soft spoken, Raf can get along with anyone, a valuable skill when the team’s goal is to keep the peace.

The newest addition to Flashpoint’s Team One, Clé Bennett admits that when putting on his SRU uniform every day for the show, he is living out his childhood pastime of playing make-believe as a police officer. Prior to suiting up for season 4 of CTV’s hit drama, Bennett has played Gemini Award-winning roles in the mini-series “Guns” and in the HBO series “The Line”. One of a short list of actors to win two Gemini Awards in one year, Clé gave an inspiring acceptance speech to the national television audience watching the Gemini Award Gala that concluded with the parting words, “Just understand, anything's possible, I'm the proof.”

It has been an incredible year for Clé with his role alongside an A-list cast in one of the film festival circuit gems of 2010: “Barney’s Version”. Clé has a supporting role in the acclaimed dramatic feature film. The film’s A-list cast included Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman. With industry recognition of his amazing performances Clé is realizing his dreams.

Following an outstanding performance in “Barney’s Version”, Bennett secured major roles on Global TV's “Shattered” and the new hit Showcase series “Lost Girl”. He has recently been featured on CBC's “Republic of Doyle”, A&E's “Breakout Kings”, CTV's “The Listener”, and you can also catch him the upcoming feature film “Stag”.
