Shannon Jardine brings the "crazy" to hit series InSecurity tonight

Fresh off her move to Vancouver to pursue her acting career, Shannon Jardine books roles on two hit television shows, and prepares for the premiere of the documentary series she co-created.

After a whirlwind festival season starring in the highly anticipated follow-up to a cult classic punk mock documentary in ‘Hard Core Logo 2’, Shannon Jardine is now making the move to television, with appearances on two new original television series’.

First up for Shannon will be her appearance tonight on the new CBC action comedy ‘InSecurity’. The series follows the men and women of the National Intelligence and Security Agency as they take on missions vital to national security. Although they may not always do it on purpose, they manage to get the bad guys and keep Canada safe. Shannon’s episode called ‘Get Cranston’, featuring her as the Crazy Nurse, airs at 8:30pm (local time, across the country).

Shannon will also be appearing on the small screen in the original drama series ‘Endgame: Fearful Symmetry’, which centers on a brilliant chess master, who, by a twist of fate, solves crimes that mystify others. ‘Endgame’ premieres on Showcase on March 14th, 2011, and Shannon’s principal role on the series will air in early Spring 2011.

Her list of notable upcoming projects doesn’t end there: She can also be seen in the upcoming History Television documentary series ‘Dust Up’ (working title), which she also co-created and Executive Produced with Paperny Films of Vancouver.  And in a different medium, Shannon will be on stage for her role as Ma in ‘Jake and the Kid’, at the Globe Theatre in Regina from April 27th-May 15th, 2011.

Shannon has compiled an impressive list of television and film credits since she began her performing career. Her television credits include a recurring guest-starring role on the mystery series ‘Rabbit Fall’, and the portrayal of 8 different characters on 8 episodes of the hit CTV comedy ‘Corner Gas’. In film she has appeared in the recently released to DVD ‘Rust’, the Adam Sandler film ‘The Shortcut’, the David Lynch produced ‘Surveillance’ and ‘Sleepwalking’, produced by Charlize Theron.

Not only does she excel in front of the camera, but behind it as well. Shannon recently produced a short film, which was part of the anthology feature film ‘I Heart Regina’, which screened at the Montreal World Film Festival.

Shannon currently splits her time between Vancouver and her home province of Saskatchewan. When she isn’t acting on-stage, in film and television, or working behind the scenes, she enjoys the outdoors-camping, traveling and hiking-and is fascinated by the sci-fi genre and the current vampire phenomenon.
