Tammy Gillis to film guest starring role on 'Less Than Kind'
Manitoba native, the charismatic Tammy Gillis, is thrilled to be returning home to film an upcoming recurring guest star role on season three of ‘Less Than Kind’, the original comedy series from Astral’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) and Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada). The role has Tammy starring as Barbara, the new trophy wife of Jack, Aunt Clara’s ex-husband. Barbara is young, pretty and full of life. Maybe a little too full of life, with her Jekyll and Hyde personality. Hilarity ensues when Barbara enters the scene.
Tammy's new role on 'Less Than Kind' comes on the heels of wrapping a role opposite Rachael Leigh Cook in the Montreal shot thriller ‘Stealing Paradise’, due out in 2011. The film, which will air on The Movie Network, Movie Central and Super Écran, follows an aeronautical engineer falsely accused of murder-possibly to cover up the theft of her designs.
Those aren’t the only projects on the go for this talented performer: Tammy is appearing elsewhere on the small screen as well, just having wrapped guest starring roles on two hit Global shows, including the new series ‘Endgame’, as well as the drama ‘Shattered’.
This gorgeous performer was named one of Femme Fatale’s ‘Fresh Faces of the Year’ in 2007. Her successful career began as a model, and led to her being one of Melanie Kelly photo
the main spokesmodels for underwear company Ginch Gonch. This role had her representing the line around the world, from Canada, to France, to El Salvador. Since then she has moved on to film and television, not only in front of the camera, but behind it as well. Gillis has acted as a producer on a couple of short films, including ‘Dealing with Jerks and Din’. She currently has a number of projects in development that she has written, including a feature film and a webisode series titled ‘Goodnight Tammy’.
Since the move from her Manitoba farming roots to pursue her dream of acting, Tammy has become a successful and respected member of the entertainment industry in Canada. This return to Manitoba is a full circle moment for the talented performer.
