Ready to pop and drop? For once, this has nothing to do with dancing. As one beloved Vancouver restaurant closes it's doors, a few more shops are cropping up. So say your hello's and goodbye's as we celebrate the new and old shops around town this long weekend.

This is a chance to show your support for the Coast Salish Nations as they protect the traditional Salish waters! Speakers/music highlights: Naomi Klein, Chief Ian Campbell, The Boom Booms, and Ndidi Cascade.

Gastown BBQ and Chilli Party (Kelly's Pick)

Come on down for a two-day, outdoor, block party and festival hosted by 12 of your favorite Gastown restaurants. The weekend will feature BBQ and Chili Competitions, Live Music, and even a Pig Roast. Proceeds from the weekend’s food sales will go directly to Athletics 4 Kids, a local charity that helps underprivileged kids participate in Sports.

For the past 5 years Sanafir has been hosting Gong Shows, Harem Nights, and celebrations in bed, but they are now saying goodbye with a final Silk Route celebration.
