Vancouver's street soccer teams are practicing hard and excitedly gearing up to compete in this year's Homeless World Cup in Paris, France and they need our help to get them there! Join us for an action packed night of celebration in support of these incredible athletes.
2. Food Justice with Lauren Ornelas

Your food choices can have impacts beyond your own kitchen. Exploitation of workers and animals, environmental racism – learn about how what you eat and drink might impact people who produce your food! And learn what you can do to help create a more just and equitable food system. Lauren Ornelas, Founder and Director of the Food Empowerment Project, will be discussing how we can use our food choices to create a more just world.
3. Evolver Spores: Revolution 2.0
May 20 | 7 PM – Late! | Dharma Lab | $10
Sweet, sweet mix of open space, unconference, social change and dance! This month 40+ Evolver spores will explore the multiple dimensions of Revolution 2.0 and collaborate with groups such as Zeitgeist, Transition Towns, 350.org to work for long term sustainable change and feedback the world a dream of its own transformation.
Maria in the Shower Presents: PANSTEREORAMA!

A festival of moments, Maria in the Shower presents an East Vancouver portrait in sound, light and movement. Historical, passionate and bouncy, a bouyant bacchanale, a brave and borderless BOOM from deep within the city's beating heart. On the evening of May 20th come out to celebrate life and the release of a new musical album: "The Hidden Sayings of Maria in the Shower" at the fabulous Waldorf Hotel Cabaret Ballroom.
