Summer kick-off festivities on this month: music, comedy, and art waste

Music Waste 2010 kicks off the summer this June with about a hundred bands and a ton of other events.

Cameron Reed & friends put on a great independent music, art & comedy festival which highlights the region’s coolest bands.  

This year, Music Waste will feature nearly 100 bands (yes, a hundred) at dozens of venues. Best part is that it includes ART Waste (eight art exhibitions), COMEDY Waste (three sites), Go Your Own Waste (letting all of us participate and hold a show), a bowling party, park bbq and a basketball tournament. 

Check out the schedule, if you try even a quarter of the line up I'm sure you'll be amazed.

This season's theme is Girls! Girls! Girls! From drag queens to ballet dancers to a noise band, girls bring it home. See performances by Ballet BC, her jazz noise collective,  Coral Short's Moustache Factory + much more.
