French team self-destructs

The French National Team walked out on practice today.

The problems started yesterday when Nicolas Anelka was sent home after calling French Coach Raymond Domenech something that is not allowed to be posted on this blog.

In response to Anelka's punishment, the French players protested today and wouldn't participate in practice. This action led to another surprise when French National Team Director Jean-Louis Valentin quit in disgust.

Personally, I think this is a bad act from the French players. It is not fair to the fans of the French soccer team, and it is a lame act from people that are so called "professionals".

There are many people out there that would be honored to play for their national team, but can't because they are not skilled enough. What is also amazing about this is that the French still have a chance at qualifying for the second round.

What do you think? Should the players have stuck up for Nicolas Anelka? Or do you think that they are showing a lack of professionalism? Post your comments below.
