A heartfelt thanks to Vancouver Observer's 2012 advertisers and sponsors
We take this opportunity to thank the businesses who advertised on the Vancouver Observer in 2012. VO has become a strong and beautiful publishing platform that gives voice to hundreds of Vancouver writers each year. It wouldn't be possible without the partnerships that have developed between the Vancouver Observer and local and regional companies. The revenue national corporations spend to get their message to VO's audience is vital, too.
In 2012, a powerful stream of news and entertainment stories were possible thanks in large part to the businesses that advertise on the Vancouver Observer. Regarding local companies we work with, their creativity, talent, commitment to the city and collective business wisdom inspires us and keeps us energized.
Without these entrepreneurs and more established local and regional companies, the Vancouver Observer's high-quality journalism on issues that matter could not be produced. This includes stories that would otherwise go under the radar such as the logging of pristine forests on Cortes Island, the Oil and Gas Export Summit in Vancouver, the problem of guns coming across the Canadian border and the devastating potential impact of a proposed casino in downtown Vancouver.
Additionally, larger, corporate sponsors provide the Vancouver Observer with an essential revenue stream that allows us to create the infrastructure that is essential to this work.
The Vancouver Observer team would like to thank and acknowledge all of the businesses who through the last year put the Vancouver Observer in their advertising budgets. We are deeply grateful for your trust and belief that getting your message to our audience has so much value.
Thank you for playing such a vital role in sustaining media that matters.
