It's a Gay Day in Vancouver and BC Day is Upon Us

On Denman Street, an hour before the Gay Pride Parade of 2008, people were lining the sidewalks with folding chairs and securing their tables at Delaney's.

A parade official sped up the street on a $5,000 Segway while a videographer skateboarded towards English Bay with his video camera held low, scanning the gathering crowd.

Meanwhile, yesterday in Victoria ,Stephen and Ryan of Seattle and Colorado, USA, made a handsome picture for BC Day at the provincial capital in Victoria, where they were joined in matrimony. Some thirty friends and family attended their long awaited nuptials. They are shown here in front of the provincial capital in a post-wedding embrace. Thanks to Ryan and Stephen for permission to use theses beautiful images. Stay tuned to the Vancouver Observer for an in-depth photo essay on the Gay Pride Parade.
