At a 2010 Paralympic sledge hockey game, a couple seated in the wheelchair section said they had a terrible car accident several years ago in Vancouver.
He was told he had 12 hours to live; she had been given only four hours. She was in a coma for a month and a half and now she is in a wheelchair but both of them are alive.
Their lives are changed from that accident, he said. "We can not do well alone but we are helping each other and doing great with two of us as a one person."
