It's not quite the triumph portrayed. It was 1 day and it was in the middle of the day, when the sun is strongest and on a holiday, when power demands are lower. Since the subsidies ended over a dozen solar manufacturers have gone belly up.
When will we be freed from this nonsense about CO2 being able to change climate and when will peddling expensive solutions to a non-problem end.
Giving up wheat products for two weeks is probably enough to find out what's what. If there are no significant changes, you can always go back to eating it.
the article might as well be counting what effect fairies have on moonbeams.
All there ever was by way of evidence for CO2 warming the earth was a very short term correlation. The correlation between warmer temperature and CO2 level throughout history is less than 25%. The correlation between warming on earth and sunspots runs around 75%.
Funny how the Climate Alarmists just don't want to examine the evidence.
"One of the IPCC’s most dubious achievements is ignoring so many papers showing that the sun plays a huge role in our climate. The sun play a role? Yeah, right!
A reader brings our attention to some recent papers showing that the sun plays a major role on climate, not that the IPCC will be the least bit interested. Here are a few in case you may have missed any."
Whatever CO2 goes into the atmosphere just goes to increased bio-mass. Isn't that a good thing?
The colder it gets, the louder and stupider the propaganda.
The warming, which peaked in 1997 averages out to being less than 0.2*C above the base line. That is what all the fuss is about?
That's as bad as making such a fuss over a few more parts per million of a beneficial trace gas, isn't it.
How much longer can they keep this crooked idiocy going?
The proposed pipeline avoids the aquifer and duplicates an existing pipeline.
The US doesn't need our bitumen, they would only export it, so I am delighted the Climate Crazies are preventing Keystone even if it is for the wrong reason.
BTW there has been No global warming for 17 years 8 months
Victoria Nuland did more than just hand out cookies to demonstrators. At a Dec. 2013 meeting about the Ukraine sponsored by Chevron and Exxon Mobile she essentially bragged the US had spent $5 Billion in Ukraine.Victoria Nuland Explains $5 Billion Dollar IMF Color Revolution in Ukraine
Why would a sanely led country join the EU with the shining examples of the disasters in Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece to look forward to?
It's Agenda 21 at work in planning departments all over the world.
I'm so glad both these experienced men are speaking up, because Agenda 21 has been the template for most planning in both rural and urban areas for quite a few years now, and Vancouver is a member of ICLEI.Local Agenda 21 Model Communities Programmehttp://iclei.org/index.php?id=1202 "UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world. INVENTORY AND CONTROL.----Rosa Koire
Have you wondered where these terms 'sustainability' and 'smart growth' and 'high density urban mixed use development' came from? Doesn't it seem like about 10 years ago you'd never heard of them and now everything seems to include these concepts? Is that just a coincidence? That every town and county and state and nation in the world would be changing their land use/planning codes and government policies to align themselves with...what?"http://www.democratsagainstunagenda21.com
As the article points out, it has all happened before when CO2 was much lower. So.....?
How does one then jump to our human generated CO2,.... all 3% of the staggeringly small total amount in the atmosphere, 400 ppm or 4/100 of 1% , is causing the climate to change?
I begin to think that the people who push this nonsense are barking mad or just assume the rest of us are very, very stupid.
Since Canada imports 50% of our oil needs, refining Alberta oil instead of exporting it makes sense. Why put coastlines in jeopardy by importing foreign oil on the East to be refined and exporting it in the West to be refined somewhere else?
It sure makes more sense than banning 100 Watt lightbulbs.
