There is a hot new app in town, and it's by Facebook.

The messenger app is a new, stand-alone messenger application for your cell phone. Currently it is available for the Android and iPhone markets, and it's been making some waves.

The app allows you to instantly send messages to either Facebook or via text, to anyone in your contact list. Similar to the BlackBerry messenger, you can text anybody on your Facebook list in real time, on your phone, through an easy to use interface. You can create groups, import all of your existing conversations which you can continue on your desktop and import all your previous conversations to your phone. This way, it will be hard to skip a beat.
