20 year-old man shot this morning on Commercial Drive

Vancouver Police are investigating the shooting of a 20 year-old man, which occurred in 1600 block Commercial Drive in the early morning, according to a VPD statement.

At 2:45 a.m. this morning, a young man and two of his friends were walking down the street when shots fired from a nearby vehicle. The victim was hit and then rushed to the hospital after the vehicle fled, where he is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, police have no suspect information and no clear motive, although they believe it was a targeted attack.
