City of Bhangra

Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration (VIBC) is preparing its 6th annual City of Bhangra festival, April 29 – May 8, featuring the World Bhangra Championship. Programming includes “What does Bhangra feel like?” art exhibit in the Museum of Vancouver, Repercussion (folk drumming from a variety of cultures) April 30, DISorienting Bhangra forums May 5-8, Downtown Bhangra May 7 & 8 outdoor stage on the Vancouver Art Gallery Georgia St Plaza, and the World Bhangra Championship May 8 at Queen E Theatre. www.vibc.org
