24 Artists 24 Hours

Do Artists have the power to provoke change at Main and Hastings in 24 hours? Of course they do, and July 21st – July 22nd from 3pm to 3pm 24 Artists will work for 24 hours for a fundraising project started by an Emily Carr Graduate over 3 years ago. Emily Sheppard decided to open a new gallery, not funded by grants from the city or other organizations, but a truly artist run center. The 24 ARTISTS 24 HOURS PROJECT aims to highlight the difference 24 young artists can have by fundraising and enable spaces like this to work just by making art not by asking for handouts! Taking back the gallery space and using those white walls to make change. This dynamic show is a must see event as 24 emerging and established artists team up to ask the community; “What have you done in the past 24 hours?”
