MEC Paddlefest Vancouver

Mountain Equipment Co-op is proud to present our 6th annual MEC Paddlefest.

MEC Paddlefest is a celebration of paddle-sports and the ocean environment in British Columbia. MEC Paddlefest is a family-friendly festival geared towards everyone from first-time paddlers to experienced enthusiasts. Admission to MEC Paddlefest is free of charge with optional paid clinics available.

Last year, over 4000 people attended MEC Paddlefest and we expecting attendance to grow for this year’s festival. Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the numerous clinics and activities being offered by local vendors and MEC alike. Events include yoga sport for paddlers, kayaking 101, navigation courses, guided tours, intro to Stand-up Paddleboarding, kids kayaking, MEC Paddle Swap and MEC Marketplace.

Registration for clinics is now live at www.karelo.com and begins at $10 per person. Participants in on-water clinics are entered into a draw for a chance to win a Jimmy Styks Beaver paddleboard and a Cannon adjustable paddle.

Mountain Equipment Co-op has been calling Vancouver home since our founding in 1971. Canoeing and kayaking have been core sports for our members since day one and we feel very privileged to be able to host this great event for our 6th year running.
