Anonymous hacks neo-Nazi sites

Hacker group Anonymous has taken action once again this week, this time in a widespread campaign against American neo-Nazi websites.

"Operation Blitzkrieg", as the attack was ironically dubbed, targeted specifically the sites of the American Third Position, an active political party espousing a doctrine that closely resembles fascist ideology and white nationalism. The site of Merlin Miller, the party's nominee for the 2012 presidential election was also attacked.

Several thousand personal emails as well as forum messages and personal information were posted by Anonymous under their logo and the words "Goodnight, White Pride".

In an issued statement, the hackers involved made claims that American congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul was in contact with members of the American Third Position, apparently discovering a "disturbingly high amount of members [...] involved in campaigning for Ron Paul".

The statement continues, deeming Paul's libertarian politics as "racist", and "viciously anti-immigrant".

Members of Anonymous have in the past voiced both support and disagreement with Paul, videos under the collective identity being posted in his praise, as well as to threaten the disruption of the Iowa nominating caucuses should Paul come close to victory.

Anonymous operates as a collective, without any centralized authority or decision making system. Members of the group have described it as “nothing but an idea, an internet meme, which can be appropriated by anyone, at any time.” Therefore there is no unifying ideology or political leaning, and an attack which seems to bear such a political focus stands out.

Some fringe supporters of Ron Paul have even gone so far as to label it an "FBI false flag operation". Hashtags on twitter, meanwhile, link Anonymous' latest move with "antifa", an anarchist anti-fascist organization.

Regardless of the truth of the claims made about the GOP candidate, it highlights the inconsistency which is inherent within Anonymous, as well as the uses and purposes of such an entity.

Theres no way that the only candidate who would keep the Internet free and open for anonymous to operate would be targeted by them. This sounds a lot like the Jon huntsman video allegedly made by a Ron Paul supporter. And people don't seem to understand that a libertarian can only be considered "racist" if you think opposition to affirmative action is racism...while not realizing that affirmative action itself is a racist ideology.

What not to like about Ron Paul?

There is a good video with a black guy saying thank you to Ron Paul because in 1971 he was the only doctor in a hospital willing to help his white wife deliver a baby.

How is this racist?

Band of dumb kids.

A common smear used against Paul, because someone of some particular view endorses or supports Paul, Paul must agree with said persons view - one must suspend logic for this to make sense.

They also use blantant inaccuracies in their statement:

"anti-immigrant,"

False, Paul wants to INCREASE immigration and make it EASIER to immigrate to the United States: "Protect Lawful Immigrants – As President, Ron Paul will encourage legal immigration by streamlining the entry process without rewarding lawbreakers." "Immigrants who want to work hard, obey our laws, and live the American Dream have always been great assets." http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/immigration/

"anti-abortion"

False, Ron Paul wants to leave it to the States to decide per the Tenth Amendment as abortion is not listed in Article I, Section 8. "* Immediately saving lives by effectively repealing Roe v. Wade and preventing activist judges from interfering with state decisions on life by removing abortion from federal court jurisdiction through legislation modeled after his “We the People Act.”" http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/abortion/

"and against gay marriage"

False, Ron Paul wants to leave it to the States to decide per the Tenth Amendment as marriage is not listed in Article I, Section 8. Beyond this Paul has stated that even State governments should get out of the buisness of regulating marriage as it is a social contract between individuals (gay or straight). In fact, Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who hasn't pledged to defend 'traditional' marriage, which has led to the National Organization for Marriage (who endrosed Gingrich, a guy who has been divorced twice) buying attack ads against him.

If racist support you that does not make you a racist Ron Paul is not a left or right wing politician. He is anti status quo , his anti war message appeals to liberals, conservatives and white nationalists . White nationalist think all wars are started by Jews. The person trying his best to get the racist vote is newt with his anti welfare code for anti black talking point

His views are "liberal", "libertarian" and "Conservative".  So he has a propensity to rankle feathers, across the board as well as get support, across the board.

American Senator Ron Paul? And all this time I was under the impression that he was the Congressman from Texas. Perhaps I should feel really "sheepish" for not having had my facts straight.

American Senator Ron Paul 2012!!!

Hackers could "hack" false information too. Besides, when you speak about liberty and freedom you attract the bad apples not just the good ones. If you are really a tolerant person then even the bad apples are allowed to speak. Some may say Anonymous is a terrorist and criminal organization (SS#s, Addresses, bank accounts hacked?!) but yet we are to believe they are so pure. And what is with all the racism against white people? Are white people suppose to be guilty and ashamed for all of eternity? My family were indentured servants back in the day. Hell, almost every race in the world has been slaves to someone else at one time or another, we can not forget but we must forgive or we will never grow. Hello, we are in the 21st Century people not the 1800s, and it isn’t going back to the bad old days, we will not allow it. The older generation that is voting for Obamney are the racists that live in fear and over-reactionary; they will die off soon enough. The young (who vote for Paul in droves) are not racists (for the most part) and all racism is learned. Ron Paul wants to stop racism by making in a non-issue (we ALL have the SAME rights!!), when you group people in little pens (Republican, Democrat, Left, Right, Black White, Us, Them, ect..) you are easily controlled. Those who make the case it is “Us or Them” do not realize it has always been and always will be just US as in the Human Race! We are on a speck of dust floating in an ocean of matter and space. Until we get over this animosity and hate (those that hate, and hate the haters too) we will not succeed in having a truly free world. Peace, Love and Understanding. Go by those lessons “Anonymous”, otherwise your credibility as “someone” who cares about “humanity” (except whites I guess, how racist!) will be out the Overton window.

While first recognizing Anonymous is simply an "idea" that idea is internet freedom. So hacking an internet site for posting something you find offense goes against the entire idea of Anonymous.

Sorry but this story is a giant FAIL and if people did this using the Anonymous banner they should be ashamed.

And people don't seem to understand that a libertarian can only be considered "racist" if you think opposition to affirmative action is racism...while not realizing that affirmative action itself is a racist ideology.

A Libertarian doesn't have to be a racist, that's true. I am sure that most of them are not. But that doesn't mean there isn't a reason why racists are attracted to a Libertarian like Ron Paul.

The reason being, if Libertarians had their way, there would be no government laws against race descrimination, and nobody to stop white supremacists and other racist groups from driving all the non-white people out of town/city/state. Sure they couldn't do it with violence, but they can openly refuse to serve black people, openly charge them higher rates of interest, even charge them extortionate prices for basic goods, like bread, milk, gas etc. Just like it used to be before the Civil Rights laws were passed in the 1960s -- laws that the Pauls, father and son, are on record as opposing.

Racial discrimination (and no, not the "racism against whites" idiocy) is still a problem in this country. Even with laws in place, many people of color experience it on a weekly basis, if not more often. Study after study shows that to be true. Just think how much worse things would be in this country if all the anti-raciism, anti-discrimination laws were swept away by Ron Paul and his Libertarian friends. South American ghettos would be nothing compared to what we would have here in America.

Libertarianism many not be a racist political ideology, but it certainly would allow racism to thrive and prosper if it was ever the law of the land in the USA. That is why so many racists are flocking to Ron Paul's rallys -- a Ron Paul victory would bring them that much closer to a whites-only future.

(One only has to read some of the comments on this thread to see how true that is.)
